Citizens Advice Dudley Borough Wins Funding for Financial Capability Project
Last week we were informed by Dudley MBC that we have been awarded a significant some of money from The Dudley Innovation Fund for a 3 year project, which will be used with another recently won bid from the NatWest Skills and Opportunities Fund. Together, these two funds will support a new Financial Capability Project that we are calling the ‘Money Confidence Project’.
This funding will allow us to support some of the most vulnerable and marginalised young people living in the Dudley Borough including Care Leavers, NEETS, Young Carers, & parents to gain the support, knowledge & skills they need to understand & manage their money, with the ultimate goal being their own financial control, prevention of debt & an improvement to their mental health and overall well-being.
The project is due to start shortly and we will be recruiting for 1.5 FTE Financial Capability Caseworkers.
We are looking forward to seeing this project make a big difference to the lives of Dudley’s young people.
