In the last twelve months the Research and Campaign team have been busy promoting a number of initiatives to help Dudley residents with the problems that they face. Here are a few
Big Energy Week – January 2018
Big Energy Saving Week took place in January 2018. We promoted Big Energy Saving throughout the month of January. The aim of this campaign was to ensure that consumers are able to manage their fuel bills; by spreading awareness of methods to save money and energy, signposting consumers to information and helping those experiencing problems to access support. We supported this campaign with posters and flyers in all our local services and libraries.
Scams Awareness and Carers Week – June 2018
We combined these two campaigns and provided information displays around the borough and presentations through June. We visited three local groups who have disabilites/long term health conditions and Steve Marchant (Research & Campaigns volunteer researcher) delivered presentations on these topics.
Health Awareness Week – July 2018
We promoted awareness of eligibility to help with healthcare costs and make people aware of the eligibility for free prescriptions, NHS low income scheme and pre-payment certificates.
