Money Confidence Project
What is this service and who can access it?
This service is a Financial Capability Programme for young people and parents to help develop and improve money skills, knowledge and confidence with money. We will be delivering group and 1:1 financial capability sessions and will be training 400 professionals across Dudley borough so that we embed financial capability into our day to day culture for our young people.
Our Money Confidence sessions use interactive resources & digital tools & cover:
- Budgeting (weekly and monthly)
- Paying household bills & choosing the best utility provider
- Understanding what are priority and non-priority bills
- Borrowing safely
- Encouraging positive spending habits
This service is being offered to young people between the ages of 18 and 25 and parents with children from 0 to 18/up to 25 with a disability, who live in Dudley Borough.
How can this service be accessed?
We are running small group sessions for up to 8 people alongside 1:1 advice sessions based at partner venues in Halesowen, Brierley Hill and 5 venues around Dudley Town Centre including Dudley House. These venues will develop over the course of the project and include all areas of Dudley Borough.
