This project focuses on delivering prevention and early intervention presentations to raise awareness of gaming and gambling related harms among at risk community groups through community based interventions with both young people and adults. It aims to reduce health inequalities by improving how affected young people and adults can proactively access appropriate support and treatment services.

About the role
A team of paid and volunteer community based workers will deliver specially designed presentations to young people and adult groups across Dudley Borough and the City of Wolverhampton.

The purpose of the presentations delivered in this role is to raise awareness across communities of the harms related to gambling and how to access further support if needed.
For this role, you will need the following personal skills/qualities:

• Personal lived experience or professional experience of gaming/gambling related harms and/or supporting someone who has lived/living experience of gaming/gambling related harms is essential.
• Enjoy standing up and presenting to groups of people (young people and adults) to deliver the expert-led presentations purposefully created that we will train you to deliver
• Be charismatic and engaging in how you deliver information to groups of young people and adults
• Be empathetic and compassionate

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, undertaken and funded by the employer, confirming suitability to work with children/young people and vulnerable adults in the community.
